(More customer reviews)In 1995 I bought my first personal computer.A Packard Bell tower.It came with all the extra's.And it should have for what the thing cost!The one thing they didn't upgrade was the mouse.It came with the standard microsoft mouse.I broke the mouse within a month or two.Replaced it.Then broke the replacement.Bought my third one and it broke shortly thereafter.

Disgusted by this point, I went to the local computer retailer down the street from my house and looked over all the options.They had a thing called a Trackman Vista.It was a rollerball mouse.First I'd seen.And expensive for the time at $50.I walked around the store, talked to a couple of the sales guys.And after thinking about it a bit, I bought one.

It was the best $50 computer item I ever invested in.I'm still using it, and it's now 2008.My current computer is running XP and it works fine with it.In fact, I've bought 3 other Trackman Vista's over the years...all 2nd hand, to be used on my other newer computers.The computers and monitors have died off over the years, but the Vista just keeps a going.

If you happen to be lucky enough to get one of these, I would suggest periodic cleaning of the trackball.If it starts to stick, I'll clean it and it's as good as new.(A cotton swab with just a little alcohol on the sensors and rollers, dry it down good, then put it back together.)

I would advise anyone that was interested in this style of trackman to feel secure in the Vista.I know I'll continue using mine as long as the Vista is willing to keep working for me.
