(More customer reviews)I had high hopes when I purchased the Perixx Peripro trackball as a replacement for my Kensington Expert Mouse trackball after Kensington decided not to provide software for Vista or Windows 7. The trackball on this unit is the same size and all 4 buttons are operable unlike the Kensington. However, the action of the trackball is very stiff and gritty, making it unacceptably difficult to use. I had hoped that it would wear in, but it hasn't after 3 weeks. After removing the retainer ring and removing the ball, it is apparent why this is the case; it has a very cheap construction, lacking the smooth, quality rollers that the Kensington model utilizes. Too bad they had to skimp on the roller assembly.
