I'm a trackball kind of guy and I surf the web a lot.I got this so I could reduce repetitive stress on my hands and forearms and maintain better posture while surfing.This device is ambidextrous and allows the user to sit in many positions or to stand.
That being said, I'm left unimpressed. I realize there has to be some play to allow the ball to roll freely but this trackball is twitchy, it works best when horizontal, less so when at any other angle.It's also unforgiving in that any fingerprint residue will cause the cursor to jump all over the place.The trigger replaces the left mouse button; the left button accesses the scroll feature.I have to remove my thumb from the ball to depress the trigger because the chassis is so small that moves in my hand and rolls the ball against my thumb which of course moves the cursor.The device is light so when placed on the table the weight of the usb cable is enough to drag it.This makes it awkward to perform any keyboard functions that require two hands.
If you are looking for an inexpensive, ambidextrous, light, portable mouse to use for power point presentations this might be the mouse for you but for the home user looking for an ergonomic alternative should keep researching.
