I got one.Installation was painless. The wheel and trackball spin nicely. However the buttons are EXTREMELY stiff - you have to really push on them to get a click to register, and doing a double-click is hard.Particularly since it is EXTREMELY sensitive to movement, so pushing hard enough to click twice in a row is likely to joggle it enough to move the trackball a little causing the mouse pointer to move causing the doubleclick to fail and you have to start over. The buttons are in entirely the wrong place - the wheel is behind them.A natural placement of the hand means moving the trackball with the tips of the index and middle finger, and clicking the left button with the thumb. However this means you are pressing against a part of the button quite far from the part intended to be clicked.Even if you try clicking with the index finger, if you're using the tip of your middle finger to move the trackball, your clicking finger is still behind the trackball and far from the part of the button that one should be pressing on.I can't imagine how they let this through their QA and customer focus groups, it is very nearly unuseable. The shape of the device - with the trackball projecting high above - leads to an odd positioning of the hand that in turn leads to new repetitive stress. Also the cursor speed is very high, much higher than what "feels" like a similar movement with a mouse.Easily one of the most frustrating pieces of hardware I've worked with.As much as I don't want to, I may have to give Logitech more money for a proper device, even if it does start malfunctioning again within six months.
