(More customer reviews)I use my BlackBerry Curve A LOT (probably over 4 hours a day), so I burn through a new track ball every few months or so.For the cost of replacement track balls it isn't worth wasting your time cleaning and reinserting old ones.AT&T will actually replace these for you as part of the limited warranty, but since mine is corporate issued it would take a decent effort to get the IT deparment to get it fixed - I can't be without a phone for a few days while that happens, so I just replace the trackball myself.
The cleaning cloth and tool that come with it are just thrown away.Use your finger nail to pop the cover off - much easier.
Good, cheap, and easy to replace.
